Flower update!









I've now put my felting materials away for while, because should really be making some mini's. But thought i would share the progress so far.
I don't think i can call the flower a sunflower anymore... seems to have taken on a life of its own. Its still bright and cheerful and really pleased with it.
Decided last night i would felt the whole thing together. I was in two minds if i should or not but now glad i have. In a few weeks when i'm back on track with some mini making i'll start the rest of the work on this. It's also a little bit smaller because of wet felting for a second time and measures 78cm x 40cm.

    I don't mind you don't post about minies Nikki as I just admire what you did to this felt!:D The picture is just beautiful!The flower so bright and pretty!Great work!

    Its beautiful Nikki!! you said in a few weeks you'll "start the rest of the work on this"... but what else is there to do? its already an absolutely stunning piece of work!
    and does this mean you will actually be getting dressed into something other than your pj's next week? LOL

    Yes, Wendie, i'll be wearing my working pj's i have set aside just for mini work, lol. I have bed ones and day ones, lol.
    Really need to work on smartening myself up and wearing real clothes... soon, i promise!
    Just cleaned my work room too... need to mini cause my food account is almost on zero... wish peeps didn't eat cause then i could play all day.

    Glad you all like it so far. I could say its finished but to me it just needs something esle to liven it all up. I think i'll do a pattern on the cream background in neutral colours... not sure.

    Its beautiful Nikki !
    Sometimes a change is as good as a rest,and hope you get back to minis refreshed afterthe wee break.
    I couldnt concentrate to work on my dolls last week , so I did some dolls house building work instead and now hope I can get back to it :0)
    You just need to go with the flow and do what you want sometimes.
