This morning i sorted my packing from recent sales. I'm going to be one day late posting because i couldnt get to the post office with so many boxes, and will have to wait until tomorrow when they can be driven there. Apologies for the short delay.
Think i need a removal van for the amount.
So i started to absolutely wreck the house today and then decided i would remove some tiles too.
Here's a picture of Patrick peeling paint off the wall after the tile removal took the paint too. Hoping this wall comes good and will not need plastering.
He's so nosey and has taken over all demolition jobs! I was really enjoying the work but don't stand a chance now.
Working in his boxers, lol!!! Thats my husbands arms, lol. Looks like Patrick has two pairs!
My work room now has most of the kitchen in. Luckily it's all freestanding.
I need to sand all the work tops when the house is nearly finished too.
Heres the red the main walls will be. I love this lamp even though it never matches anything!
Here's some of the material i found in the skip i'll be making cushions with. The material for the curtains i need to make ill show soon.
Heres the shelf unit thats annoys me beyond belief. Going to chuck it out and look for some really old dark furniture i can hide everything away in. There is also a tv unit that matches this and hoping i can find something not so obvious in your face saying i shop at Ikea. Wish me luck on that one.
Will post updates when i'm further along.
I love that lamp too! Did you embellish it yourself? It's wonderful! You are ALL busy, it will be great once it's all done!
ReplyDeleteWill email you later. :o)

I love the red. Alas my home is so small and dark that it will never be but I'll look forward seeing yours. Hugs Rosanna
ReplyDeleteOooh that lamp would go with everything as it has so many wonderful colours! Couldnt you make use of the unit in your workroom Nikki, those little cubby holes look great for keeping dollshouse larger projects in, ( or even roomboxes) you can fill each as you do each major piece! Kate xxx
ReplyDeletePatrick really looks like he's getting stuck in there, with the demolition bit.
ReplyDeleteKate's right Nikki, can't you use that cabinet somewhere else.
I like the idea of the cushions from the skip material. xxxx
Gosh you put me to shame, I have spent most of the day watching the French Open!
ReplyDeleteKeep the lamp - loved items don't have to match!! A bit like people, really.
ReplyDeleteWOW, you go girl! Can you do mine next!lol I always love watching home makeovers. I can't wait to see it when it is done! Good luck!!

Ooh...I want a fridge in my work room too! I'm sure it could come in handy for those mid-afternoon snacks.
