Pumpkins and work in progress!

Before i waffle on just wanted to let you all know something is happening here in blogland and once again i can't leave comments on all your blogs.
Once i am able to i will make sure i do.

Here's some pumpkin stacks i made a few days ago. Not a brilliant photo because the lighting is bad today. I was going to make them have evil faces but decided happy suited them more, lol!

And here are a few minis in progress.

The dragon crates need claws, teeth and 1 blood bottle added.
The dragon eggs still need straw.
The half barrel will be filled with mini pumkins and their leaves trailing over the edges.

But the witch/wizard trunk is proving hard to fill. I shall make some more potion jars and maybe a telescope. Plus i need to add the bones, unicorn horns and similar little bits.
If anyone has any suggestions for items to go in both trunks it would be fantastic.

  1. OY!! What is truly amazing about you, Nik is not just your talent at creating these things but the ideas behind it all. To carve a pumpkin is one thing but to say, " lets do three graduated pumpkins with faces and stack them and have the vanes trailing down.." is the magic part. This is your special talent and it enchants me each time I see it happen!

The Traveling Trunks are very clever. So what would a magical person need when traveling? I think a telescope is a good item. If you can get some brass tubing, they are easy to make. (If I could make it, anyone can...)

  3. It is lovely, and those pumpkins are way too cute.
Ideas, mmm, feniks feathers, reading cards (tarot?), wizard hat, magic wands, little gemstones, little bag with cords filled with magic beans, fairy dust, dragon nails, amulets, divining-rod, mortar with pestle, alembic, inkwell with feather pen...
    Little dragon?! ;))
    hope this helps.

  5. Nikki your ideas just amazing. Makes me want to cry, wish i could have half as much talent as you!!!! I just adore those pumpkin stacks, their happy faces are so much coller than scary ones! Im Going to fighting with someone on Etsy over these i think! The trunks are great, did you make them, I love the bigger one. I needed one like that for Sweeney. have tried to make one but hasnt come out like that, love the handles etc.
Hmm what else to go in it, maybe a dome with a dragon embryo, sure you could do one easy peasy out of fimo. How about marbled coloured dragon eggs in bright shades of green and purple? Little bag of rune stones? Wizard hat
A dragon book, now where would you get one of those, maybe the postman will bring one wait and see he he
Ill have another think and see if theres anything else
