Just a few pictures of the almost complete sink. I need to fit the taps still and somehow make a plug that looks right.
It's been fun making this sink but ever so time consuming. Well worth the effort though. I won't mention how many hours he took, lol.
Splendid work! I can just imagine how long he took! Did you use any sort of armature or support other than the wooden base you mentioned? I am assuming you painted him in some way since last I saw he was pink! Did you use glass eyes or paint them?
ReplyDeleteHe is just fabulous!!
I get so excited when I see that you have a new Post!!! And this one is no different!! WOW! He's so freakin' cool!!! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could make a little mushroom stopper??
Just amazing Nikki!!

Hi Susan. I painted the eyes with acrylics then glossed over them. The body just has wood on the inside which saves on clay and perhaps although not sure gives it extra strength. Its just a rod runing up him below the bowl. The bowl was just shaped with no extra support.
ReplyDeleteHe has been trial and error with lots of learning along the way.
He's also painted with acrylics.
Next one will not take so long i imagine. Once in the know its always easier and quicker.
This is incredible! I love it so much!!! You are so very creative Nikki!!
