Chimnea or Chimineas?

Chimnea or Chiminea? Not sure which of these two spellings to use for what i'm making... perhaps both even!
Anyway, here is a few pictures which have inspired me.

I'm just at the start really with these, and the top part still needs to be shaped and then baked again. I would like them to look whirly and whimsical. Hope it works!

The cast iron style chimnea in the top picture is the look i would like for all three of these, and hoping it works. Yet not so smooth and quite rough, just perfect for a messy witch, lol! They will also be filled with hot glowing coals.
Then i think a small (ish) bubbling cauldron on top of the coals, over spilling with some gruesome concoction.

Its very late and should be in bed but couldn't resist staying up and starting them. Hopefully tomorrow they wll be finished.

Have kind of lapsed the last few day with miniatures. Facebook and Scrabble (also on facebook) have drawn me in their clutches, and held me tight the last few days. I really need to escape from there and have just two games left to play, and then i'm out! I mean it... i'm out of there! It does me no good, and it's not as if i have won many games, lol. Those scrabble player pros are just too good for me!

Off to sort the whirly tops and put the oven on, then perhaps some sleep.

Oh yes, i promise i will pop back with pictures of the baking tables when complete. I am waiting on some glass and can't get them finished until it arrives.
Plus will show you all my other minis ive started and never got back to showing complete. I'm terrible as always and keep starting new minis, but at least with so many almost complete in the end i'll have a whole batch to show.

Here's my fave song at the moment. They always change but i cant stop playing this one. Ray Charles - I Can't Stop Loving You - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wattjJtPT80

And heres one of my fave songs ever. I also love the video somebody has made to go with this from their childhood. Its beautiful!
Kate Rusby - Fare Thee Well - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eS_BlryH1BQ&feature=related
If ever i'm stuck for something to make or dont feel creative, i play this and like magic something happens, like the Chimneas that were made to this one. But i also love everything she sings, check her out on you tube if you like folk.

  13. Hi My wee life. Oh to have my talent, lol. Gosh, if you could see me most of the time. Takes me forever and a day to get things moving and most of that time is spent with me moaning it's all going wrong, how do other people make so much, lol. But these ones are coming along nicely and baking again as i type.

Yes facebook is so addictive. Dont have a clue how it manages to catch you and pull you in. At first i couldnt stop farming over there, then i started on loads of games, found scrabble there and became an addict to that too. Trying my hardest not to sign in there... fatal!
